A delegation from the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University, Uzbekistan visited the Faculty of History at Baku State University (BSU).

The visiting group included Head of Department Matluba Tullavoldieva, Professor Karima Tulenova, Associate Professor Gulchokhra Eshanova, Acting Associate Professor Marvarid Mamajanova, and Lecturer Raino Mullajanova. They met with the faculty administration and academic staff to discuss ongoing developments and explore opportunities for academic collaboration.

Dean of the Faculty, Professor Ibrahim Zeynalov, welcomed the guests and introduced the history and achievements of the faculty. He highlighted the faculty’s significant development over the years and proudly noted that its most distinguished alumnus is the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. He also shared details about current research activities conducted by the faculty’s departments.

As part of their visit, the guests attended lectures in the Russian and English departments on “History of the Medieval Period of Azerbaijan” and “History of the Ancient World.” They also toured the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography, gaining insight into the faculty’s educational and cultural resources.
