Sectional sessions of the Baku Humanitarian Forum at BSU

Within the Baku Humanitarian Forum on the "XXI century: hopes and challenges" sectional session “Modern technologies that changed the world”was conducted at the Baku State University on October 11, 2011. The panel deals with new tendencies in the information sector in the globalized world on which the rector of University academician Abel Maharramov made his remarks, noting the importance of the Baku Forum. The academician, in particular, touched upon the impact of information and communication technologies on development of society, as well as on news production and its consumers. Rector of the Moscow State University Victor Sadovnichi spoke of the “Modern technologies and their role in global ecological and social catastrophes”. Sadovnichi stressed necessity of timely defining the global problems caused by modern calamities for civilization, and find ways of solving them.
