Session on Baku State University Held at THE World Academic Summit
A session titled “Improving Scientific Cooperation and Internationalization in Azerbaijan: Baku State University Strategy and Networking Event” took place at the University of Manchester, UK. Organized by Baku State University (BSU) in partnership with Times Higher Education (THE), the event was part of the prestigious THE World Academic Summit and featured participants from universities across more than 10 countries.
BSU Rector, Elchin Babayev, delivered an extensive presentation highlighting the university’s recent efforts to enhance its competitiveness, scientific research collaboration, and internationalization. Ulker Sattarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education, also spoke, providing updates on the advancements in these areas within Azerbaijan.
The second half of the session, moderated by Chief Data Officer for Times Higher Education, Duncan Ross, featured a panel discussion focused on the future of scientific cooperation and internationalization, as well as strategies for fostering innovation in higher education and research.
The panel included Ulker Sattarova, Elchin Babayev, and Bassam Alameddin, President of the Gulf University for Science and Technology.
