Baku State University (BSU) hosted a meeting with a delegation representing various Spanish universities, aimed at fostering academic collaboration and international partnership.

The meeting was attended by BSU Vice-Rector Shahin Panakhov, Head of the International Relations Department Rauf Hasanov, Chargé d'Affaires of the Spanish Embassy Jose Pedro Torrubia, Head of the Educational Programs Department Gilberto Terente, representative of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of the Kingdom of Spain Ana Cornejo Roman, and Carmen Conti Jimenez from the University of Jaén.

Vice-Rector Shahin Panakhov provided an overview of BSU’s history, academic structure, and its achievements in scientific research and international rankings. He emphasized the university’s commitment to enhancing global cooperation, fostering academic and scientific exchange, and deepening ties with leading institutions worldwide, particularly in Spain.

The Spanish delegation shared insights into the key areas of focus for Spanish universities and expressed their willingness to collaborate on future initiatives.

Discussions at the meeting centered on establishing scientific and academic partnerships, launching double degree programs, organizing joint conferences, and promoting student exchange opportunities.
