An information session organized by representatives of the State Tax Service (STS) under the Ministry of Economy was held at Baku State University (BSU).

Opening the event, Gunel Gurbanova, Head of the Career and Alumni Center at BSU, emphasized that every student and graduate has access to the Center’s support services, which can significantly enhance their success in the job market. She noted that the session would provide valuable insights for students and recent graduates of the Faculty of Law as they prepare to enter the professional world.

STS representative Humar Ismayilova presented the Summer Internship Program of the State Tax Service, outlining the program's objectives, application process, and participation requirements.

Following this, STS employee Ulker Kazimova gave a talk titled “Tax System of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” offering an overview of the country’s tax framework. She explained the definitions, forms of taxation, and key components of the system.

In the final presentation, STS representative Zakhir Babayev spoke on “The Role of Tax Authorities in Ensuring Economic Security.” He discussed the critical role tax authorities play in economic and social regulation, maintaining economic security, and addressing legal violations.
