Student Space Opens at BSU
Baku State University (BSU), in cooperation with the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (CTU), inaugurated a new Student Space in the university courtyard.
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted that the Student Space, created within the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” framework, supports students’ rights to education, rest, and social engagement. The space is designed to enrich student life by providing a place for communication, debate, and project implementation—not only for BSU students but also for students from other universities. In line with modern environmental policies, the area is powered by solar panels and includes a 24/7 mini-library, allowing students to borrow, read, and contribute books at any time.
CTU Chairman Sahib Mammadov praised BSU’s role in Azerbaijan’s educational development and the successful collaboration between the organizations. The event also featured speeches by Shahin Ismayilov, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee of the Milli Majlis, Nijat Mammadli, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education, and Zohrab Javadzade, Chairman of the BSU Student Trade Union Committee.
