Sustainable Development Goals Week Kicks Off at BSU
The opening ceremony of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Week was held at Baku State University (BSU), organized by the Student Trade Union Committee (STU) of BSU.
During the ceremony, Zohrab Javadzade, Chairman of the STU at BSU, provided an overview of the SDGs and highlighted Azerbaijan's efforts in this area.
The event was attended by Asiman Ilyasov, Advisor to the Rector of BSU; Ramin Samedov, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy; Makhluga Yusifova, Head of the Department of the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science; and Amin Mammadov, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
The speakers emphasized that the SDGs, adopted by the UN in 2015, serve as a call to action for addressing critical global issues such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and quality education.
