The 21st International Geometric Symposium (https://www.geometrysymposium.org/) was held at Erzurum Technical University in Türkiye, dedicated to Professor Arif Selimov, Head of the Department of Algebra and Geometry at Baku State University (BSU). Professor Selimov is also an Honoured Scientist of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Expert Council on Mathematics and Mechanics of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of Azerbaijan.

The symposium, supported by five universities including BSU, brought together around 100 scientists from around the world.

Professor Arif Selimov delivered a plenary lecture at the conference’s opening session. His presentation focused on new classes of lifts derived using holomorphic functions.
