The accreditation process is supposed to be held in Baku State University in April 2012 in regard with the letter #46-26-2115/16 (03/28/11)  by the Ministry of Education referred to the Act  #167 (09/28/10) by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijani Republic concerning the confirmation of regulations for educational institutions’ accreditation.

Baku State University has been accredited as the state higher educational institution for the term of 4 years by the order #840 (11/16/06) of the Accreditation Commission under the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and has been awarded the certificate #004 (11/23/06) by the Ministry of Education.

A long-term commission had been established under the order #R-38 (03/29/12) by the rector of BSU for organization of the following accreditation in 2012. The aim of the commission is to analyze the quality of administrative support, educational and research procedures, staff recruitment, international cooperation, material-technical base, social conditions, financial provision, specialists’ training structure and the compliance to the norms of State Educational Standards.

The attestation of graduate students at Bachelor and Master Degrees has been started since April 23, 2012. Over 4000 bachelor and 466 master students are expected to pass the test exams on appropriate specialties.
