In order to improve students’ Chinese language proficiency and arouse their interest in learning Chinese, the Confucius Institute at Baku State University held Chinese Song Contest, dedicated to the third anniversary of the opening of the Confucius Institute at BSU and the 10th anniversary of founding of the Confucius Institute . At the opening ceremony Vice rektor on Science and innovation Aydin Kyazym-zade, as well as Oktay Jalilbeyli on behalf of Confucius Institute under the Baku State University and Hu Fenghua on behalf of the People's Republic of China noted successes of the Institute for the past 3 years. Students actively signed up for this contest and carefully prepared their songs and costumes. The atmosphere at the contest was so livened up that many rounds of applauses and cheers of excitement followed every excellent performance. The winners of the competition are awarded prizes and certificates.
