On February 10, the first stage of the 4th Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad took place among students in the IX-XI grades of general education institutions. A total of 1190 students registered to participate in the online Olympiad.

The 4th Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad was organized by the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University, N. Tusi Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, and the Republican Center for the Development of Children and Youth. According to the committee's decision, participants who score at least 50% of the possible 46 points will qualify for the final stage of the Olympiad.
