The forum began its work in BSU, on october, 12. The meeting of the connection council was held  at the first day of the forum.

Firstly, participiants of the forum got acquainted with the museum named after Heydar Alıyev at BSU and looked at the photos of the honored doctors of BSU and the members of ANAS.

The rector of Baku Slavic University Kamal Abdullayev said that more than 30 representetives from the 20 universities of 8 CİS countries took part at the international forum which was organized for the first time.

He gave information about intended issues during  the 2 days meetings.  Then the rector of Russian State University for humanities, the chiefperson of the Russian – Azerbaijani Friendship Society, Yefim Pivovar gave a speech. He reminded that the idea of this forum was created within the first forum Azerbaijan – Russian on international humanitarian cooperation which was organized in Baku, in january of the current year.

Azerbaijan President İlham Aliyev  who received the participiants of that forum mentioned the importance of development of Humanitarian co-operation among CİS countries, and noted that  intellectuals' contribution to this cooperation is very necessary. After that organizational  work began.  At the end of his speech the spokesman thanked Azerbaijan for hosting the forum.  The participiants agreed on calling  the first meeting «Baku Forum».
