In May, 26 - 29th, 2010 representatives of the Baku State University G.Rahimova and I.Alieva have taken part in the International Forum «Higher Educational Institutions of Kazakhstan in a context of the academic ratings», held on in Astana (Kazakhstan). The forum has been organised by the Ministry of Education and Science and National Accreditation Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Representatives of world ranking and informational agencies, as well as representatives from various Higher Educational Institutions of the region and far abroad have taken part in the forum. During the forum questions on comparison of world and national criteria of ranging of higher educational institutions have been discussed.

Within the framework of this trip reperesentatives of BSU has met with Zoya Zaytseva - Regional Marketing Director QS Quacqerelli Symonds Limited (Great Britain); David Horki – Country Manager in Central and Eastern Europe, Thomson Reuters (Great Britain); Tayfun Balsal – Sales Manager in Turkey, Central Asia and the Near East (ELSIEVER, Holland); Valdemar Sivinski – President of  "Prospects" Foundation (Poland) and others.
