The rector of Baku State University (BSU), academician Abel Maharramov met with president of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina

The rector of Baku State University (BSU), academician Abel Maharramov received the president of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina Martha Rovira. Having expressed her thanks for the warm reception, president of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina (CONICET) Marta Rovira gave detailed information on the organization headed by her. According to the guest, the CONICET is mostly provides funding for scientific research and support for the activity of scientists. It also closely collaborated with higher-education institutions of Argentina and provides support for the scientific – research works of students. Academician Abel Maharramov, in turn, informed the guest about the history and development of the Baku State University and noted a special role of educational ties in the development of cooperation between two countries. Noting a particular interest of Azerbaijan in expanding international relations in the education field, the Rector expressed his belief that a fruitful relationship will be established with Argentina in the future.
