The section meeting of the second humanitarian forum “New methodological approaches to globalisation processes in the XXI century” was held at Baku State University. The rector of Baku State University Abel Maherramov noted that Azerbaijan's role is nowadays estimated not only from the social economic and humanitarian point of view, but the whole world now recognised Azerbaijan as a developed country holding high spiritual values. He said the forum has a very important meaning from this point of view.

Azerbaijan plays an important role in the provision of regional security, former Japanese vice-minister of foreign affairs Akiko Yamanaka stated during her speech. She also noted that Azerbaijan plays an important part in provision of the region's energy security.

Workshop I. “Virtual reality and progress of a society” was opened  by presentation on “The Future of Hydrocarbon Fuels”of Robert B. Laughlin (Nobel Prize Laureate, Department of Physics, Stanford University, Stanford, USA). Akiko Yamanaka (Former vice-minister of foreign affairs, Japan)  made speech on Global Azerbaijan for XXI century from human security perspectives.

Moderator of the Workshop II.  “Role of the virtual universities in the formation of a new generation” academiсian, rector of Baku State University Abel  Maharramov made speech on “Virtual education: achievements, problems and prospects”.

Workshop III. Problems and perspectives of interrelations of generations was opened by moderator  Aleksey Aleksandrovich Maslov (Professor, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies at The National Research University - "Higher School of Economics").
