Three BSU Social Sciences Master’s Programs Obtain International Accreditation

20/04/2026

Three master’s degree programs in the social sciences and humanities at Baku State University (BSU) have successfully passed international accreditation and received official certificates.

The accreditation was conducted by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA), based in Kazakhstan. The agency is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

As part of the process, expert commissions carried out a comprehensive evaluation of the master’s programs in “International Law,” “Conflict Studies,” and “Clinical Psychology.” On-site experts assessed the quality of teaching, management mechanisms, and overall institutional performance. Meetings were also held with academic and administrative staff, students, graduates, and employers to review curriculum content, modern teaching methods, quality assurance systems, and material and technical resources.

Representatives of the Quality Assurance Agency also participated in the accreditation process.

Following the final evaluation, a decision was made to accredit the three programs for a period of five years, until 2031.
