A training session titled “A Sustainable Future with Insurance” was held at Baku State University (BSU) for students. The event was jointly organized by the BSU Career and Alumni Center and the National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

Emil Agabagirov, a trainer from Meqa Sigorta, delivered an informative presentation on the essence and types of insurance, its historical development, operating principles, and the role of insurance mechanisms in social protection. He also highlighted the benefits of voluntary insurance and the importance of public–private cooperation in this area.

Agabagirov emphasized that young people should recognize the importance of joining the social insurance system from the beginning of their careers and using it effectively for personal well-being. Properly designed insurance mechanisms, he noted, help manage risks, prevent unexpected losses, and contribute to the stability of both family budgets and the national economy—ensuring a sustainable future.
