Training Session on Web of Science Platform Held at BSU
Baku State University (BSU) hosted a training session titled “Scientific Analytics on the Web of Science Platform: Organization and Author Profiles, and Collaboration Opportunities.”
The event was jointly organized by the BSU Scientific Library and the Center for Scientific Activity and Innovation, aiming to enhance the effective use of the Web of Science platform in academic research.
Farid Nagiyev, Director of the Center for Scientific Activity and Innovation, highlighted the importance of such educational initiatives for advancing scientific research at the university.
The session was conducted by Khayala Hajiyeva, official Clarivate representative in Azerbaijan, and brought together doctoral students, research fellows, and library staff.
During the training, participants reviewed the university’s organizational profile on the Web of Science, explored the author approval process for unapproved profiles, and learned to utilize the platform’s Research Assistant tool. The session also covered practical applications, including preparing literature reviews, formulating research hypotheses, and identifying suitable journals for publication.
The training concluded with a question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to clarify specific aspects of the platform and its tools.
