"Turkish Classroom" has opened at BSU
The "Turkish Classroom" has opened at Baku State University (BSU).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, BSU's Vice-Rector, Alish Agamirzaev, noted that the opening of the "Turkish Classroom" holds great significance for the training of specialists who will work for the benefit of the development of fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. According to him, BSU teaches subjects related to Turkey, the Turkish language, literature, and history, and conducts scientific research. BSU graduates represent Azerbaijan in scientific, cultural, and political spheres. According to the Vice-Rector, the literature and visual aids of the "Turkish Room" will contribute to the training of personnel in Turkish philology and regional studies (related to Turkey).
The event was attended by the Head of Yunus Emre Institute in Baku Emre Selçuk Karakılıch, advisors from the Turkish embassy, Zeynep Kivilcim and Muhittin Madjit, the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Aydan Handan, and the Head of the Turkish Philology Department, Rufat Rustamov.
