Turkish professors conducted training session on Media Education
On March 7, 2024, as part of the project "Media Education: Methods of Shaping the Right Perspective," a training session was held for students of the Faculty of Journalism at Baku State University (BSU). The event was organized by the Union of Parliamentary Journalists with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education.
The training session was conducted by Professor Levent Eraslan from Anadolu University (Turkey), Professor Emre Unal from the University of Nigde Omer Halisdemir (Türkiye), and Sabina Jabrailova, the Head of the Academy of Psychology in Azerbaijan.
Vugar Ziferoglu, the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, emphasized the importance of such training in the development of journalism students as professional specialists. Tunzala Abbasova, the Executive Director of the educational portal AzEdu.az, highlighted that the main goal of the training was to enhance media literacy among journalism students.
Elshad Eyvazli, the Chairman of the Union of Parliamentary Journalists, emphasized that there are certain challenges in journalists' adaptation to new media. He noted that insufficient psychological readiness for ongoing processes negatively impacts their professional activities.
