Ahmed Buran and Fateh Ozbek, Professors from Firat University, Türkiye delivered lecture titled ‘Common Language of Communication in the Turkic World’ for the students of the Philology Faculty of Baku State University (BSU).

The lecture was organized by the SABAH Center at the State Agency for Science and Higher Education. Iradа Suleymanova, the head of the SABAH Center at BSU, noted that the project titled "Level of Understanding of Modern Turkic Written Languages" aims to measure the level of mutual understanding among Azerbaijani, Turkish, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, and Turkmen languages.

Professor Ahmed Buran, who delivered a presentation on the topic "Common Language of Communication in the Turkic World," provided information on scientific ideas and conceptual approaches in research related to the ancient roots of Turkic peoples, traditions of statehood, and languages. The scholar spoke about scientific-theoretical ideas related to the process of differentiation of Turkic languages and the history of the concept of the "Turkic language." He also explained the concepts of "Turkic language," "Common Turkic literary language," and "Common language of communication," and discussed the debate and opinions regarding the common language of communication.

Professor Fateh Ozbek, who gave a presentation on the topic "Methods and Ways of Understanding," talked about the features of symmetric and asymmetric understanding. He also emphasized the importance of measuring the level of understanding of Turkic languages and the sustainability of the implemented international project.
