Two BSU Students Awarded Special Ombudsman Scholarship
As part of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” a special scholarship from the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) has been established for students of Baku State University (BSU).
The scholarship was initiated following an appeal by Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva and approved by the Academic Council of BSU.
BSU’s cooperation with the Ombudsman’s Office encompasses various areas, including providing opportunities for law students to undertake professional and research internships at the Ombudsman’s Office. Additionally, employees of the Ombudsman’s Office are engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at BSU.
Continuing this collaboration, the special Ombudsman scholarship will be awarded to two students – one from the specialty of “Jurisprudence” and one from “International Relations” – who have demonstrated high academic performance during the current academic year.
This initiative aims to further encourage undergraduate and graduate students to specialise in human rights and conduct scientific research in this field.
