UNOOSA to Support BSU Activities in Space Sciences
Rector of Baku State University (BSU), Elchin Babayev, met with Aarti Holla-Maini, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), in Vienna.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between BSU and UNOOSA were discussed, along with opportunities for implementing joint projects in research, personnel training, and the installation of devices and equipment within the international network.
Rector Babayev provided an overview of the research conducted by BSU in the fields of astrophysics and space sciences, emphasizing the university's commitment to expanding its participation in international programs. He highlighted that cooperation with UNOOSA will significantly contribute to the training of space science professionals in Azerbaijan and foster the development of science in the field.
UNOOSA Director Aarti Holla-Maini expressed the office's readiness to support BSU's space science activities. She underscored the importance of involving young researchers and students in space research.
