Uzbek Scholar Delivers Lecture at Baku State University
Dr. Zhumaniyaz Ramatov, Doctor of Philosophy and Head of Department at Tashkent State Transport University, delivered a lecture at Baku State University (BSU) for students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology. The session focused on the theme “Current Issues in Philosophical Anthropology.”
The event brought together academic staff from BSU’s Department of Philosophy, including Professor Abulfaz Suleymanli, an expert from the Turkic Academy, as well as Dr. Ali Unal, a lecturer from the Department of Sociology at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
In his presentation, Dr. Ramatov emphasized the cognitive-epistemological and methodological importance of anthropological issues. He noted that humans are studied as central elements within social systems—carriers of social relations, key productive forces in society, active agents of historical change, and more.
Dr. Ramatov explored a wide range of topics within philosophical anthropology, such as human individuality and nature, free will versus determinism, the impact of culture and society on human development, the ethical and moral dimensions of humanity, the evolving relationship between humans and technology, and the significance of human existence. He also highlighted the critical role of socio-cultural environments in shaping human identity and consciousness.
