A delegation of scholars from Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University (Uzbekistan) visited the Faculty of Philology at Baku State University (BSU) to learn about the university’s approach to teaching the Azerbaijani language.

The delegation included Head of Department Nadira Akaeva, Professors Marhabo Sobirova and Umida Nigmanova, Associate Professor Dilorom Khodjaeva, and Professor Saodat Adilova. During their visit, they became acquainted with the work of the Department of Methodology of Teaching the Azerbaijani Language and Literature, shared insights into their own scientific and pedagogical work, and exchanged ideas on future cooperation.

Metanet Abdullayeva, Head of the Department, and Associate Professor Rakhilya Guliyeva briefed the guests on the department's history, academic focus, and research activities.

The meeting also included discussions on potential collaboration, including the organization of joint academic events and the development of co-authored textbooks in the field of language teaching methodology.

As part of the visit, the Uzbek scholars attended a lecture by BSU master’s student Fidan Abdullaeva on the topic “Teaching Functional Parts of Speech”, offering a practical glimpse into current teaching methods.
