As part of the Vietnam Days in Baku project, Baku State University (BSU) hosted the cultural and musical program "Vietnam – The Melody of Identity."

The event opened with the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This was followed by video presentations highlighting the history of Azerbaijan–Vietnam relations, President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Azerbaijan in 1959, the contribution of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the development of bilateral cooperation, and the current stage of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

In his address, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized the long-standing friendship between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, which encompasses political, economic, educational, scientific, and humanitarian cooperation. He noted that one of the most significant chapters in bilateral relations was the training of Vietnamese specialists in Azerbaijan for the oil and gas industry, whose expertise played an important role in the development of Vietnam's petroleum sector.

The Rector also highlighted that educational cooperation remains one of the strongest pillars of Azerbaijan–Vietnam relations. Over the years, more than 4,000 Vietnamese citizens have received higher education in Azerbaijan, including over 400 graduates of BSU. Many of them have gone on to hold senior positions in Vietnam's government institutions, as well as in academia and education.

Elchin Babayev reaffirmed BSU's commitment to further expanding cooperation with Vietnamese universities through joint research projects, academic mobility, student and faculty exchanges, doctoral training, and the development of joint educational programs.

The event also featured a documentary prepared from BSU archival materials dedicated to the university's distinguished Vietnamese alumni.

Nguyen The Ky, former member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and former Director General of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), expressed his appreciation to the BSU administration for organizing the event and underscored its importance in further strengthening cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Vietnam.

The program concluded with a joint performance by the Le Ngoc Theatre and the BSU Center for Culture and Creativity. Guests enjoyed musical and theatrical performances showcasing Vietnam's rich cultural heritage, including a stage production dedicated to the life and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh. At the end of the event, members of the creative team and organizers were honored with awards in recognition of their contribution to the development of Azerbaijan–Vietnam cultural cooperation.
