Winners of the Republican Olympiad awarded at BSU
Baku State University (BSU) held an award ceremony for the winners of the Republican Olympiad in physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, and geography, dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the 105th anniversary of BSU.
Speaking at the ceremony, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev discussed the successful outcomes of policies implemented in the field of science and education in Azerbaijan. The rector emphasized that participating in the olympiad is particularly significant for students and positively influences their future lives.
The event also featured speeches from the chairpersons of the Olympiad Organizing Committee in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, and geography—deans of the respective BSU faculties Ziyatkhan Aliyev, Fuad Kerimli, Bakhtiyar Pashayev, Afet Mamedova, and Meksed Gojamanov.
BSU Vice-Rector Huseyn Mamedov then announced the winners of the olympiad—60 students in total. Five students took first place, 10 took second place, 15 took third place, and 30 students were awarded incentive prizes.
