World Arabic Language Day was celebrated at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Baku State University on December 18, 2021. The event was organized by Student Trade Union Committee.

Acting Dean of the Faculty Tarlan Melikov congratulated the staff of the Department of Arabic Philology and students on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day. He spoke about the history of teaching the Arabic language at the faculty, the founders of the school of Arabic studies, the training of Arabic-speaking specialists.

The event was attended by the Acting Head of the Department of Arabic Philology, Associate Professor Vugar Garadaghly, Professors Elkhan Azizov and Nasrullah Mammadov, Mais Agaverdiev, Adviser to the International Eurasian Press Agency Ahmed Sami Elaidi.
