The university has upgraded its heating systems to be more efficient and environmentally friendly. We have transitioned away from using diesel fuel and now rely more on gas and electricity. The new heating system is also equipped with advanced regulation capabilities to ensure optimal energy usage.

As the world's population continues to grow, so does the demand for cheap energy, and fossil fuel-dependent economies are causing dramatic changes in climate. Ensuring energy for all requires investments in solar, wind and thermal power, increased energy productivity, infrastructure expansion and technology upgrades to support growth and protect the environment. Since 2019 economic LED lamps are used in all buildings of the University. In this way we are able to economize electrical energy double in comparison with previous years. In addition, it is considered to apply smart solves to heating systems of the University. Heating systems which are made by students and also prototype of projects regarding to use H2 gas as fuel in heating systems will be apply at the University.
We aim to increase the number of renewable energy projects in 2023. So, by increasing the number of solar panels and wind turbines placed in the yard of the university, we are planning to capture a part of the electricity used in the university from these systems. Some of the mentioned energy production projects are local products developed by university students. http://geography.bsu.edu.az/en/content/faculty_of_geography_299
The University supports students who created projects related to low-carbon, their startups and prototype making process. Next academic year it is considered to broad projects related to the subject and to organize info session about low-carbon.

Economic LED lighting has been implemented in all University buildings since 2019. By doing this, we can save twice as much electrical energy as in past years. Additionally, it is being investigated to apply smart solutions to the university's heating systems. The University will use student-made heating systems and a prototype for a project involving the use of H2 gas as a fuel for heating systems.

In 2023, we want to enhance the quantity of renewable energy projects. at order to collect some of the electricity utilized at the university from these systems, we intend to increase the number of solar panels and wind turbines installed in the institution's yard. Some of the aforementioned energy generation projects were created locally by college students.
